I have a barred rock chick..or pullet..(i forget what age that they are considered pullet)
She is almost 2 months old. I found her this morning as I was fixing to go put them outside in their little play pen and first noticed her wings were droopy.
I picked her up, which she is always calm and set her down to determine symptoms. She is acting like her head is too heavy for her. She can't keep it held up for very long. And she keeps falling asleep every few mins.
My first thought was bacteria, or disease, but no other chick is showing anything even closely related. However, I went ahead and prepared my "magic water" of acv, garlic, and raw honey just in case and am giving that to her orally through a syringe. (She almos fell asleep in the water so I decided to just give her some every hour or so) She is eating scrambled eggs fine but won't touch her regular fermented feed that I give all my birds.
I have searched high and low on the internet and NOTHING is fully matching her symptoms.
A few mins before I remember hearing a loud "yelp" from one of them in the brooder but I didnt think much of it as they are always jumping or falling on top of each other. But now I'm wondering if it was her and if she may have gotten a concussion.
What do you guys think?
**There is no other symptoms than what I have said. Her eyes, nose, breathing, etc are all fine.
