Confused, a lot.

I have asked others before on when our chickens will start to lay on BYC, but all of the answers differ. I would really appreciate it if anyone has black australorps I would like to know around the time that you got eggs.

I had Australorps. They started laying around 6 months. How old are your chickens?

25 weeks.

A chicken can begin laying anywhere from 4 months to 6 mo, that’s a typical range but some hold off till 7 or 8 months or even later.

They are 20-21 weeks

Average onset of lay for most breeds is 18-28 weeks.
Different breeds and individuals will vary.
Time of year and diet can have an affect too.

Where about in the world do you live and do you birds get natural sunlight all day long?
Also what do you feed them, including any treats?

We feed them layer pellets and they free range. But yesterday one that we thought was a rooster layed an egg.
