Hello so I have two White Leghorn chickens who are about 3 1/2 months old! recently we
found out that one is a rooster but we still aren't sure what the other one is because of it
being special needs ( born with messed up legs) the special needs chick has a pretty big
red comb and wattles but acting like a hen and still peeps. today our rooster was trying to
mount the other chicken. does that mean that the chicken in question is a hen? or does the
rooster not care? any help would be great!

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
