Confused about this turkey??!? *Pics*

Everytime I go into the run and approach this turkey, it will always sit down and spread out it's wing feathers like it's submitting to me.. BUT I thought that it was a male. It has a few black feathers on the chest. I'm a novice with the turkey thing....any help is appreciated

BTW - He/She is 21 Weeks old... possible eggs soon if female??

Looks hennish to me. The snood should be much longer by 21 weeks. A male should also have at least started a beard. If you gently rub the base of the neck in the hollow spot a few inches below where the feathers start, you should be able to find a beard if it is a male.

looks like a hen to me. Some hens can have beards so that isn't a tell tale sign. I have a lavender hen that has a 1-2 inch beard.

It's a hen, and she is in the typical "breed me" position. You need a tom!

I have a slate hen that does the same thing and she has a beard! When I put a tom in with her she wants nothing to do with him but for me or the kids, she does that!
