Confused Birds! !!

I have four hens laying, two light brahmas one buff orpington and one new hampshire. All have been using the boxes until yesterday, one of the brahmas laid in the yard and this morning found an egg under the roost. Very confused girls....lol

Are you still getting some/any eggs in the nests or have they all gone off the boxes? If it's the latter, I would do a thorough check of the nest boxes to rule out pests such as mites, etc that are making the nests uncomfortable to use. The occasional stray egg is no big concern to me - they happen - but if it's consistent and/or the entire flock more of a concern.

I got 3 eggs this morning all in the boxes. I think they just got confused a bit. Lol
