Confused...bought as lavender orpington eggs?

Maybe from blue Orpington parents that looked like lavender Orpington’s? That would be my guess.

I did love my buff orpingtons. Would they be buffs if the parents were blue though?

I am not sure, but I think so. I think the only ones that breed true to color are the lavenders, not the blues.

Sorry, those don't resemble Lavender Orpington chicks. They would have some grey on them, or be all grey.

They also would have slate gray legs.

No, theyare not lavender orpingtons. I raise lavender and black orps. You cannot get a buff from a blue. I had buffs that seemed to take forever for me to get rid of. The buff girls i had were accidentally bred to black and the result was a patterned buff black mixture that i personally did not find attractive. All buffs are gone now!

Would recommend not buying from this particular breeder again. Its not that all breeders are bad, but sometimes some are either a novice and dont separate their breeding pens or just plain don't care.

I guess I will have to see what they grow to look like.. no clue what they are now haha.
