about a week ago one of my calls set up nest in a hidden spot behind my shed and has sat on a cluster of eggs for a week now.she gets off about half an hourish a day to come for food and water, she will not come in the duck house at night so i am risking her out on the nest,.
Can someone give me some guide on 1,will these eggs hatch?how long?can i move her so she is in at night or shall i take the eggs away?
i dont want to loose her but i[IMG] would like some chicks?

Quote:She sounds broody alright. If you can risk the next 3 weeks (26-28 days total) you will know. Calls because of their short necks and bills often have trouble hatching out of their shell. I have never heard of anybody having much luck moving a waterfowl nest. Do you feel lucky? Risk you duck in hopes of ducklings. Your bird, your choice.
