Confused chicken, roo or hen?

Nearly eight months, has never laid also never crowed. Im normally great at sexing but this one has got me stumped. From the brown flecks on the wings im guessing late blooming roo? But on other forums people are saying hen. Any ideas? Not seeing any pointy feathers round neck and shank, but they are not really rounded either

Yes, everywhere possible, but nothing.

Sadly not, a very scared chicken if I go closer it flees. Gonna try and catch it when its dark.

That would be best. Get a pic in really good lighting.
I'm going to say, it looks male to me, but I can't see the saddle well enough to be certain.
And if you have another rooster and he's dominant, it will take longer for a cockerel to mature and show his finery.
