Went out to clean the goose house this morning and found one of our females sitting on a freshly made nest. Our gander Ping went ballastic when I tried to go near. Dummy goose layed and egg. There she was proud as punch sitting on an egg. I finally got it from her. A good friend of ours says that geese sometimes get confused with the light and start laying but most of the time the eggs are not good enough to hatch. He says its better to take them and destroy the nest Anyway my MIL will be surprised she ate almost every one this past spring. She swears they are better than any egg she has ever eaten.
