Confused, make or female?

I have a 16 week old runner duck I was sold under the impression was a girl.
She sort of has a white ring round her neck
Dull in colour
No curl on her tail
Low raspy quack
So I'm a bit confused. Any ideas?

Looks like a drake to me - just coming into his nuptial colors.

At 16 weeks there wouldn't really be a drake feather yet, but the key here is low raspy. If there is no "quack" by 16 weeks it's a drake. I have agonized over this for many weeks with my 2 drakes. He is very pretty though.

Is it safe to keep a drake with chicken (hens, no Roos) my research says it could be problematic. He was reared with several hens from chic/duckling
Anyone have any expireance with this?

Once a duck goes into mature drake hormonal stage, he will want to mate with any thing with feathers so yes he will be a problem with hens, he can actually kill them since chickens and ducks are not made to mate.
