Confused???? New to this Chicken thing what do I have?

My guess is EE. True Ameracaunas have to have the beard/muff to abide by breed standards, but not all EE's have them. I also think it depends what stock you get them from. I got 6 EE's from Mt. Healthy, only 1 had puffy cheeks. In another order from my pet chicken, puffy cheeks were about half and half.

I don't think it's a BLRW. Even though the feather color is very similar, the legs of these guys look more green rather than yellow (unless the lighting makes the color look off). Plus a lot of EE's have blue coloring in their feathers.
Thank you

They are mixes. They don't match any breed standard. They might be easter eggers- often incorrectly called araucana or ameraucana.. these breeds have a standard with rules on what's accepted and neither of those do. Easter eggers is not a breed, basically a big giant group of freely bred birds for mixed color eggs, hence the term. Most EE have beard/muffs which makes many people think that's a required trait for an EE but again since they are not a breed, so really, anything goes. They may be something like EE bred with another breed, and they can lose the beards that way. The reason for EE is because your birds have pea combs and a huge majority of chickens with pea combs and non feathered legs are out of EE stock so that's basically a default guess.

Scarlet is definitely a boy- the color on the wing are the rooster feathers coming in. As he gets older, he's likely to get more of the same color on his neck and back.

Camilla is not showing obvious roo coloring but it kind of seems it is growing super shiny and pointy feathers on upper neck typical of roosters.. might want to wait a few weeks on Camilla to be sure.

p.s. the coloring on these is very typical of a colored bird bred with something either solid black or solid blue- another clue they're likely a mixed breed.

EE's are mixed birds with the blue gene and sometimes greenish and even pink to light brown eggs
