That is helpful! If there were such a thing, Daffy might look like a "dark phase" of your beautiful gal. Hehe. Don't suppose yours was almost solid black as a baby?

And here's my Silver Appleyard girl. Daffy's body (past the neck) looks EXACTLY like hers. Don't know if that's a common juvenile duck coloring..coincidence..clue..lol.

That quack in the video was so cute. Sounds like a girl to me too. I wanted to tell you that I have what i suspect is a Khaki Campbell x Pekin girl, and overall I would call her body color black. But, her head is iridescent green. Her hatchmate drake, I suspect of same parentage, had a very deep green head, just like a mallard. So I do think it is Possible for the mixed girls to get some of the male mallard traits.

Hmm after seeing your daffy and silver appleyard makes me think daffy must be some sort of mix. As she looks kinda like both your appleyard and my puddle. Now that I think of it daffy kinda has thehead coloring of a Saxony drake. Maybe that's where her head coloring comes from.
