I have two of these chicks that I purchased on 4/3/2020. They were said to be just delivered to the store the day before. I figure that means they were hatched around 3/31 or 4/1. They were sold to me as Gold Laced Wyandottes. Now that their feathers are coming in I clearly see that is not true. Someone said they may be Welsummers. Anyone have any input? I’d also love to know if it’s a pullet or cockerel but I thought learning the breed would help with that.

that looks like a partridge chick, from what i just searched up. and could be a cockerel, looks to only be one or two weeks old, but has a bit of a comb already... but that might just be a wyandotte thing. i don't have any experience with wyandottes, so i what i say might not be accurate...

the only thing is, that chicks has white on the tips of his/her feathers, but usually partridge have black...
and nice pictures by the way!

I have had them since April 3. They will be 4 weeks old tomorrow or Wednesday. I will look up partridge chicks though. Thank you.

I agree on the breed but Its defenitely a pullet the wings are near the back end if it was a rooster they would be almost half as long and they look like month olds how could you think they are 1 or 2 weeks old
