confused

I have 2 thermometers - one is reading 104 and the other is reading 100 - how do i know which one to go by? They are both near each other and are on top of the eggs?

Get some water boiling in a pot. Then test the temperature of the water with your thermometers. The one that registers at 212 degrees is the more accurate one (unless you live somewhere at high altitude, and then the boiling point of water would be lower than 212 degrees).

I'm in Massachusetts (US) I have to get my daughter on the bus, and will try after..... One is digital with a battery though so I don't think I can put it in water.
