Confusing silkie

I'm gonna say cockerel even though the pictures are still not good. I'm glad you use hardcloth but, it is very hard to see through it. Can someone hold the bird for you so we can see head straight on, and maybe even pull crest back to show the comb?

Yeah I can pull him out tomorrow , it was getting dark and I still had chickens to feed

Looks like my cockerel. The poofy top is slicked back in males most always.

I'm thinking cockerel on this one as well. However if we turn out to be wrong, it definitely wouldn't be the first time with Silkies. I've seen some very experienced BYC members and even some Silkie breeders fooled by Silkies on these threads.

Despite the small comb, I'm sticking with cockerel. He's got roo feathers.
