A few days ago my black copper maran (Mig, 8 weeks old) had tried to fly and apparently almost hung herself on the ladder to the coop (I did not see this, but another family member did). Yesterday when I went to check on my girls, Mig was making an extremely strange sound that came from inside her (that is the best way to explain it!) It wasn't the normal chicken twirping. I noticed that she seemed to have some discharge from one of her nostrils. She seemed fine and eating this morning so I thought all was well. Then tonight after work I went to check on her and she sounded congested/raspy. She was breathing through her mouth and had some discharge from the same nostril. I am super stressed as this is only my second week raising chickens. PLEASE HELP! Thank you so much!
