Connecting coop to chainlink run?

How would I do this without having to cut up the chainlink fence? and not having to use to door opening? I dont want to take apart one side either. Im trying to think of any possible way, but nothings coming to me, got any ideas?


I meant so the chickens could get in and out, from the coop to the run.

I used bungee cords

The corner posts of my "coop" are old telephone poles, so I just bungee corded the chain link to the poles. I added 24" of 1/2" mesh to the bottom and I ran enough overlap to staple gun it to the poles.

Another good way to take apart chain link is to pry the tip of one strand anywhere in the fence, and wind or twirl it out. Then attach with bullnose nails to whatever you have.

I only attached 3 sides of the square dog run. My "coop" is some kind of open-ended outbuilding - it's the ugliest coop on BYC, but it's big and keeps the chickens dry.

I did the same thing as SouthernBelle - 3 sided coop that butts up the a chainlink dog run (nothing wrong with your coop, SouthernBelle - it looks good to me and I'm sure the chickens are happy).

My dog run has continuous chain link that covers all four sides, instead of 'panels', so we just left the 4th side open and the extra chain link is still rolled off to the side in case we ever need to convert it back to a dog run.

It's hard to see the extra roll, but if you look hard at the second picture on the link below, you'll see it to the right of the coop/shelter.

We used a dog run attached to a small coop in the past, we had to cut a hole for the coop door to attach to the run. Since it had a cover on the dog run it did work well for daytime use giving the hens more space, and recycling the no longer needed dog run.
