I have 2 chicken coops which I bought at different times. This is the first:

This is the second:

They have been put together in this "L" shape:

The chickens have seemingly gotten used to each other, and we want to connect the coops. However, we aren't sure how we'd do that. We wanted to connect them at this angle:

But we're not sure how to do that either. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Two possible options:

1) Cut through the wire to create an opening, then build a "box" using wood and wire mesh to fit into the openings, use hog rings to attach wire to wire. I did something similar to add a nest box to my old coop. Sorry it's hard to see but in 1st photo, the addition is in upper left, the "tunnel" is stuck through the wire wall there. 2nd photo, you can see a tiny bit of it between the dog house and the back wall of the coop. We did not attach the tunnel to the wall however, as I needed it to be removable and the coop is completely inside the run anyhow.

2) Remove both panels at that location, one from either side, and use those as the frame work (probably the sides) for a new connecting piece by adding a top. Screw wood to wood or wire to wood, hog rings for wire to wire. It's not going to match up perfectly but should function fine.
