Minerva sputtered, her eyes still wide from the surprise. "W-why?" she choked, falling from her perch into a scarlet heap on the ground. She started to fade before Aurum was even out of view. The council...Minerva thought as she heard the sounds of them arriving. How would they find out about the traitor among Consenia's leaders. Her claws scraped against the dirt as the phoenix finally died.
Minerva would have smiled. Maybe she was gone, but the rest of the council wasn't.
"Aurum"

Endymion was the first to arrive at the meeting place. The first thing he saw was Minerva on the ground. His thoughts became panicked, but he figured she'd fainted or something. Nudging her with his hoof, he said, "Minerva?"
There wasn't a reply. He felt a shiver go down his spine. Something was wrong.
"Hello?!" he called, looking for the rest of the council members.

Keenath arrived at the seen, perching next to Endymion. "Who did this? And why did she write "Aurum"? Did he kill her?"
