i am considering adding some Brahmas. Specifically Dark and Partridge. I live in central GA. How well will they do in my climate?

They do much better in cold climates, lay about 140 eggs a year and are frequently broody.
I'd probably look for something better suited for a GA climate.
What was your attraction to Brahmas?

In north GA and they keeped great but when it gets hot. Just make sure you have a lot of water and shade/ dust bathing spots. I found that in the deep of summer they do get mean broody unlike spring/fall

Jersey Giants are big, often bigger than Brahmas. They don't go broody as often, lay more and bigger eggs and are just as calm/docile. I never handle my birds unless necessary but after over 30 breeds, JGs are the only breed I could walk up to in the field and pick up.
They may even be slightly more heat tolerant but more importantly they don't have feathered feet which is great for where it gets rainy and muddy.
They come in black, blue and white. I've had all 3 varieties.

Yes, JG are also on my wish list. I was talking to a breeder in Indiana but the risk of straight run turned me away from placing my order. I would love to have a blue JG. I already have enough roosters. I have considered partnering with my local feed store that I would buy 12 straight run chicks if they would grow them out long enough to be sexed. They can keep the profit of the sales that I do not pick.

The penciling and variety of Brahma is also attractive.
