so I have 6 ducks that are 10 months old. 5 are female and three are laying currently and have been for the last month or two every day. Of my girls I have 2 rouens, 2 black swedish, and one cayuga. One of my swedish has a crooked spine and probably some neurological issues (shes a derp). I get 2 blueish eggs and one off white egg each day.. I dont know who is laying but my assumption is that it is my two rouens and my other swedish (the one without the crooked spine). I'm not 100% sure and I never did the pelvic test because I dont think id be able to figure that out despite knowing how to do it in theory. (I also dont care too much who is laying so long as they are all healthy and happy).
ANYWAYS I've noticed that the last three or 4 of the white eggs I've cracked open have ALL has blood spots on them and that sometimes (two or three days in a row but just that set of days) the white one appears to have a little blood on the outside of the egg as well. I am wondering if there is something I am doing wrong to cause this? They have free access to water, food, grit, oyster shells and have their straw changed weekly. They have a 6x6ft hut at night and two connected10x10ft pens during the day (so really 10x20 PLUS the hut). I also try to let them out to range when ever possible.
Please let me know your experience with this or thoughts as I'd hate to be the cause of any pain or discomfort for my sweet feather babies (also if you have thoughts about who is laying these eggs)
