What would cause a hen to keep laying small eggs? They arent the really tiny "fart" eggs, but way smaller then anything they have been laying. I have 11 so I am not sure which one is doing it.

Are they pullet eggs? Younger birds lay smaller eggs that should get larger over time.

Not sure what size a pullet egg is. We have gotten 11 large eggs in 1 day though so its almost like there is a problem.

Two of my rocks lay small eggs. The one is two years old the other just turned a year old. although the two year old has gone through a heavy molt her eggs have not increased in size as is commonly believed.

I think some hens just lay smaller eggs - I guess it's in their genetic makeup.

But they were all laying normal size eggs. Is it normal for them to go back to small eggs?

Sometimes it happens, usually after a period of not laying. After a molt, my birds' eggs are smaller and often misshapen. A couple weeks later the eggs return to full size and straighten out in appearance.
