So one of my Serama baby chicks won’t stop crying. Even when being held... my last experience of a loud constantly crying baby Serama- he actually had spraddle, but he did not make it. She is cute, round and fluffy, she doesn’t look sick... but does this usually mean there is an issue ? 😕 she had a bit of pasty butt, but she is clean, I even put ointment on her vent bc it was red, and while I was there also on her little umbilical mark that isn’t totally gone yet. I have her in a small kids’ sock... so it comes to her neck and like a sleeping bag lol she looks comfy, her wings are flat and everything...she is even closing her eyes like she is chillin... but still will not stop... does anyone think this means anything? Does she even know she is doing it lol

Awww you are right... but she is not she has a silent partner lol He will scream if I take her away and her incessant crying gets worse and like more serious since there is an actual problem... maybe she is just super whiney? It’d be nice if it meant she was happy lol

They are in a really large Tupperware storage container, they have a brooder... at night I put a towel on top of the brooder side... I’m starting to think she is just really chatty...

What’s the temperature in the brooder? I think it should be somewhere between 90 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit for the first couple of weeks, at least on one end of the brooder, then cooler on the other end so they can get away if it’s too warm.

It seems, there's always one. Stand there and chirp and chirp. Eating and drinking fine with buddies. 🤷
