We have a rooster that started getting crusty ears more than a month ago. I've been cleaning them daily with 50% hydrogen peroxide and water and then drying each ear. Also putting vetrx under his wings and on comb for about two weeks. He seems perfectly healthy otherwise. Anyone have any idea what could cause this? He's being kept isolated.

Sounds like he could have ear mites.

I'd do a little reading an choose an external parasite control method that you like and that works for you.

Personally, I use Sevin dust for lice and mites. :)

Hope that helps!
