Constant pasty butt!

Where does she sleep? I did notice that one of mine with a consistently dirty bum slept on the floor, for reasons of her own I guess.
If you’re feeling really adventurous you could also lube up her backside a bit after the haircut with some vaseline to help the nuggets come off
They all pretty much sleep either on the roosting bar, or packed into the nesting buckets. I’m not 100% sure where exactly she chooses as I have another hen who looks almost identical to her. Booty trim and lube.. she’s about to be seduced it sounds like hahaha

Operation regular booty trim is in full effect then.
I will tell you.
If you "dry trim" please wear a mask (I'm not being funny! LOL) That fluff is extremely fine and it flies everywhere, you sure don't need to breath that in.
Wet feathers do allow you to see the skin and sometimes makes it easier to trim too.

My speckled Sussex always has a dirty bum. She decided last fall that there was too much jostling on her favourite roost at bedtime, so now she sleeps in one of the nesting boxes.
After a month I decided that keeping her bum fluff trimmed and the occasional bath was easier than moving her from the nest box to the roost every.single.night.

Lol oh man. How often do you trim?!
