Ok ya'll I know all about indoor and outdoor space what I can't remember is how to determine the height of a triangle!

Base is 4ft, sides are 5ft each, what is the height? How tall do I make the center brace? You know I'm blaming this on chemo brain!!!

YES or

leg squared + leg squared = hypotenuse squared. THIS has to be with a right triangle. If you do not have a right triangle, then you must create one. . ..

If you cut your triangle in 1/2 the missing height becomes a leg and half of the width of original triangle becomes the other leg. . . . your original triangles side is the hypotenuse of the new right triangle.

I'm horrible at geometry but I remember my teacher saying pie R squared. Which is rediculous. Pie R round, cornbread are square.

Your hypotenuse is 5ft, right? So squared is 25.
1/2 of your base is 2ft. So squared is 4.
25 - 4 = 21
Now you need the square root of 21.
4.58 or 4ft 6in to 4ft 7in or so.

I think...
