The "bigs" are Golden Comets or something like that, and they did just fine. I just incubated two Icelandics (and will be doing more) because they probably are more cold hardy. We drive through Wells every now and then!
It's awesome and adds a bit more walking space. Not that they are in the coop during the day unless it's below 0 or laying eggs! The only thing is that you have to clean out the wheel channel--was thinking of adding flashing or something but it's not that big of a problem.
it's a Foscam--just a little one from Amazon. Since the coop has power, my husband put in Ethernet over Power...it's a little plug in thing that plugs into our router. Then when the camera is plugged into the power out there, it sends the picture and sound to the Foscam app on my phone. It's lovely! I can see if someone is sick or that they are safe at any time without disturbing them.
You know, when you hear chickens through the closed window and look to see that it's just the egg song!
