If you have an air compressor or can rent one, get a cheap air staple gun from Harbor Freight and go to town. It is one of the best tools around and saves a lot of time and effort. You can use different lengths of staples in the gun so it can also be used for fencing. Just be sure to adjust the pressure for the hardware cloth. If it is too high, the staples will cut right through the wire.
