We have recently found out that the lake we live on (near a joint base) - is contaminated with PFAO's from years ago usage of the firefighting foams. They still stock this lake for fishing but have stated that people should not eat the native fish. This lake is 1/3 to half of our geese's drinking water. They are penned every night and some days don't even go in the lake - but now we are concerned that their eggs may also contain PFAO's and we enjoy eating them.
Advise on if the PFAO's can make it into their eggs? Any information or links would be appreciated. Thank you!
