Here's my entry! Anyone know what causes discolorations like this?

I believe it is caused by the different rates that the egg is moving through the duct. That looks like a pretty big egg, so I imagine it got a little stuck at the largest part making the part being "painted" before it darker. When the largest part finally came through, it probably "popped" rather quickly for a bit, causing the lighter ring. Then finished up normally.
