i love it when hens try to mother ducklings! I had to comment back on this! I cannot believe the irony of the situation and date. We had a broody hen, and at the time no roosters around. So I put Khaki Campbell duck eggs under her that hatched on JULY 15TH, 2016! (NOT AN ENTRY!)

[/quote] I took the little ones out yesterday and one of the younger hens couldn't stay away. I kept a close eye on her thinking she would try to peck one but she never did, she just wanted to play mama to 3 goslings...she hasn't even started laying yet. Maybe I should give her a box and a few eggs to see what she does. LOL
