I have good stories too. I've even had a couple of 100% hatches - they were from my own or hand-carried eggs tho

External pip since yesterday at NOON!! NO progress. Humidity is 60 percent, beak is moving.

Okay here is mine.
Summer before last me and my daughter planned a nice vacation, of fun in the sun, at Virginia Beach. Turned out to be one of the hottest weeks 105* YUCK....water was even hot. But we made the most of it and had a wonderful time. Well left the BF in charge of the care of the chickens, all my gals were at the POL there beautiful blue and green eggs, I couldn't wait to get home to see who was laying. When I pulled in the drive after driving over 10 hours in the blazing heat, the BF met me in the drive and said I have good news and I have bad news, which do you want first, I said, Oh my EE's are laying right

, he said no,

that is the bad news,

and I must start with the good news now... he continues.. well I set two traps and caught the coon and a cat, they won't be bothering us anymore. I said great, so what is the bad news, he lowered his head and said, " In the excitement I forgot to open up the coop, before I went to work, and they all died"

WHAT THE HECK. It was over 100* all week. Now that is a bad coming home from vacation.
