i remember i was in the middle of incubation and i went to candle the eggs and i accidentally dropped one....not hard but good enough to crack it a little...i was soooo upset i tryed to see if it would make it but it didn't

My worst hatch, or should say worst hatches...I tried allll summer to get a good hatch from silkie eggs. Not sure if it was because they were shipped or what..but I spent a lot of money on Silkie and showgirl eggs. I would get 12 eggs, first time, not so bad..I think I got 7, but then, when I wanted a different color, 12 eggs, one hatched. I lucked out, it was a pullet. More eggs shipped. One again, once again, I lucked out..a white silkie pullet. Showgirls..oh my, those were hard. Two babies in one, one in another. It was one bad hatch after another. So, I stopped buying silkie and showgirl eggs..shipped...ya think? hello, it only took me all summer to figure that out. Not sure why I can't hatch those, and have wonderful hatches with others. Maybe I wasn't alone this summer. ?
