Oh, CPL! I only have one of your eggs left in the bator. The other three are the super secret eggs. I had to toss another one today since it decided to quit between yesterday and when I candled today. That would have been an adorable black and white chick. I still have four left so I'm holding out hope!

I raised about 20 foster kids through the years. One of the things you can do for children is give them the give of visual life. Some of these kids never seen an animal, and most of them were terrified of a cat or a dog, but ever single one of them loved a baby chick and loved to see them hatch. When I would get a child who was particularly abused and was difficult to reach. I would hatch a bunch of eggs with them. Sometimes all it took to reach these poor kids was a tiny little peep cracking open an egg to open there little faces to bright sunshine. It just brings tears to my eyes thinking about some of the hard cases i have had through the years and what a chick can do.

That is incredible! I am a social worker and we also adopted my little brother. He just loves to watch the eggs hatch. I was even able to bring a client over to watch eggs hatch once. He wants to be a Vet, so I thought it would be a good experience.

My son learned to drink out of a straw with iced coffee....I was letting him play with the straw thinking he couldn't do anything yet and then noticed my coffee drink disappearing
