Continental giant rabbit babies

Hi, my conti giant rabbit gave birth to babys. She had 5 one still born. She built a nest but didnt pull any fur, she had some outside the nest box i lifted them and put them in with the rest. She seemed a little confused as everytime she delivered one she would clean it then run out of the nest box. She then lay in the nest box when it was over. Unfortunately the bunnies died today as i came out this morning and they where all outside the nestbox? What has happened im really unsure? Was she feeding them and maybe the got dragged out accidentally? Has this ever happened anyone before? Thankyou

It takes a while for a doe to get it right, and its common for them to lose their first litter. Most breeders go with a three strikes you're out rule.

They could have been still attached when she left the nest. You can prevent that with a lip on the next box that will knock them off when she gets out. She also may have pushed them out while rearranging the next.

Sorry you lost your babies. I would give mom another chance. She can be bred again soon. Some say immediately. I usually waited a couple weeks.
