continued lack of eggs...

Are the raccoons by any chance stressing them? Just wondering because stress can affect egg laying. At one time I had so many chipmonks that the chickens were deathly scared of. They were harmless but they kept coming after the chicken feed and it really stressed them

There are NO RACOONS. That was not my post that was someone else glomming onto my thread. We have NO RACOONS.

We do have chipmunks... and toads. Although I trapped 12 chipmunks in June and they are no longer around. If it is stress related then it would be from my goats, who share the barn with them in the evenings...although they are completely separated. But can see each other through welded wire wall.

It's near fall, days are shortening exponentially.
Likely are not laying to prepare for molt and winter break.

Oh, well......then.
I'd guess there are hidden nests.......what happens if you free range.
I dont really appreciate the tone @aart Your guess would be wrong. I have trail cameras. Sorry for your hens that you dont let them free range.

I'm not expecting anyone to have a crystal ball... but I also dont want the attitude - there ARE NO hidden nests. I dont have racoons, or snakes or possums... they are healthy and happy. Stress could be goat or rooster related, Ive always had both, though- so it would be weird... (?) I just ask if you are going to tell me there are hidden nests or that I should lock them up- please read the whole thread and take note of who said what.
Yes, I am a bit irritated now.

But they ARE being locked up!!?? Im not sure what you mean when you say I am not taking suggestions??- the only suggestions Ive received repeat things that I am already doing, or know that it is not (such as hiding eggs.). usually hens dont spend all day in their coop and then when they are let out to free run at 3 or 4 pm, go and run into the forest and hide them. Most of my hens dont even leave the barnyard most days.

7 days. No freedom. No treats. Just food and water.

Start here.

And past that good luck in your adventures. I will quit telling you what you don’t want to hear.

who is laying and who isnt - this just tells me which hens are mature enough to have laid eggs- correct?? none of these hens are pullets. If a hen laid eggs in year 1, and now doesn't- this pelvic bone check wont tell me anything.
Pelvic spacing and vent condition works on older birds too.
A non laying bird will have tight spacing and dry vent.
