contract poultry farming

I am planning on taking out a business loan and starting a large scale broiler farm. Any input that you have on contract poultry farming would be appreciated. I am very interested but don't know much about it.

Are there some common companies in your area? For instance, chicken farming is the main industry here, and we have Perdue, Amick, and Tyson mainly, so that is who the chicken farmers contract with. I'm not sure how you go about it, though... if you contact the company you are interested in or what. I'm hoping you get some good advice because I'd like to learn, too.
