Hello BYC! This is kind of random, but I got bored… please say ANY controversial topic, and I will gladly have a conversation with you about it.

I like hearing others opinions or thoughts on things, so I thought this might be fun.

Well,,,,,,, lets see if this is controversial.
I try not to be glued to the TV, but do have interest in weather.
Like to know what it will be next day and a couple days ahead. Anything further than that,,, and it is just a guessing game.
The weather personnel report such, as almost certain. They don't actually say such, but are trying to convey that feeling.
Reality is,, weather changes unexpectedly, and the resulting weather more than a few days is usually different.

I also have another one. Weather related as well.
When a storm is coming in our direction, the reports seem to be such dramatic. Is it because they are trying to cover their bacon in case bad things do occur??

Not to be misunderstood. I do like the new technology available. In short time range, it is useful.

I’m not into weather report’s because I live in Colorado, and it’s known for having unexpected weather. So there’s no point in watching the weather news here. I like the way you put it! There is really no point in watching weather news because weather is very unpredictable. I agree with you 100%

I have heard of Raton Pass. I Know where it is located. Have you ever been thru it?? Is there any beauty to area?
The individual I heard it from would make it on foot,, many years ago.

I don’t think I’ve ever been there, but I heard it is dangerous to walk through? Sorry I wasn’t much help.

This maybe is kind of specific but do I tell people that I’m autistic? And who? When, how, etc.

Most people have preconceived notions, and I don’t fit their mold, so I get a lot of confused looks and disbelief. But when I don’t mention it and end up doing, saying or reacting in an awkward or unsuspecting manner, I get looks like I’m weird.

I often feel left out and/or don’t fit in. I can tell when someone doesn’t feel comfortable around me. But I’m not anything like their cousins neighbor’s little boy who’s autistic so they can’t comprehend that I, a 56 year old married woman, is too.
