conure vs. cockatiel?

Remember to push at his chest belly area. If he is being knocked off his perch he will be more willing to step up. Don't push to hard or fast just enough to give pressure forcing him backwards. He will naturally step up and become more willing as time goes on. Another thing you could use is a small stick or dowl wood. He can bite that all he wants and never draw blood, soon he will get the hint. Julian would still get snarky if he really didn't want to be bothered, but he learnt when he was young that we just didn't go away so he had to give in. He would grumble but do as we asked. He also learnt "NAUGHTY BOY" and every time he did something nasty he would be told that. He used to puff up his little head and get all sad. They are just so hard to stay mad at.

How is the training going? I have a sun conure as well. He is a year and a half and his name is Sonny. We got him at a year old and he was the same way. We would hold out our fist if he tried to bite then make him "step up" He got the idea after awhile. The prevous owners had alreay worked with him so it didnt take us long. He is now very sweet but craves our attention. He will only let me and my bf hold him. Anyone else he bites for blood. If he does even get made and bite my or my bf its just a warning not actual biting. He prefers me and is my cuddler. We do the step up exercise everyday to keep him knowing. He always gets treats afterwords if he does a good job

He can also say i love you! and since we own ducks as well his quack like people were saying they do is alot more of a quack! He confuses me all the time cause i think its one of the ducks!

He loves to give kisses and makes all sorts of neat noises. Some he copies from us and others he does himself. He is an all around great bird and I hope yours is as well!
