First off, 8x9 is huge, your 5 birds won't know what to do with themselves. I wonder how much bedding you'd need to cover it? Whew! Anyway, by the looks of it. You need very little to make that work. People door is easy and folks are right there is a ton of interior decorating ideas here. You'll be golden. Enjoy your repurposed palace!

Wow! That would be an amazing start! Instead of messing with our playhouse we decided to add to it! That way our boys can still play in it and our chicks have a place to call their own.
