Converting a shed to a coop

Hopefully your luck with your coop gets a little better. I have several spiders making webs on my coop. So far they are mainly granddaddy long legs. You can definitely tell fall is right around the corner. I hate it when I don't see a web, and I walk face right into it. Not fun. He He

OMG that reminds me of last fall. I went to tend the hens and there was a web going from the apple tree to the lilac bush with a spider the size of a 50 cent piece right at face level. THANK the HEAVENS I had a motion sensor on the light for the coop or I would have walked right into that thing.

This is the light I put in and it is holing up nicely.

Yuck!!! That's a theme for Nightmares!!

We just moved our flock into their new shed/coop tonight. (I got my agility training in...)
Here's my inside:

we still have some finishes touches on the outside. We are just happy to get everyone tucked in tonight under one roof. They had been split up in two smaller coops.

All looking good. Just a thought..... your nesting boxes might need an intermediate step for your hens to get into easier. WISHING YOU BEST. AND

Thank you! Yes, we did add a step last night before lights out. Now today let's hope the girls know where to go!
