converting old chicken coop

I am almost done building a new chicken coop for the chickens. After I move them, I want to raise pheasants in the area that is the chicken coop now.

I plan to use a bleach solution to clean and scrub the walls. The floor is sand/dirt, inside and out.

How long should I leave it dormant, empty, before bringing pheasants in?
Is there any other cleaning preparations I can do?
Is it ok to raise pheasants and quail together?
