Converting those little wood playhouse's HELP,PLEASE, Poll time

Here's the pics I promised ("cconly" coop) ...excuse the nasty starling calling cards! This coop is in the 12x 8 dog kennel, adjacent to the 'big girls' run and right next to the big shed. I have a tarp over part of the kennel to help with weather protection but the nest box is on the west side where most of our bad weather comes from. We put it outside last October if that gives you any idea of how it's weathered so far....
The first two show both sides/angles and you can see where I added hinges to the nest box and the pulley/door hardware. I have not nailed the roof down yet so I can get into it from the top if I need to, wind hasn't picked it up either, the roof is three parts, both sides and the little inverted "V" at the top,,, could easily be nailed/glued, whatever, if desired.

Sasha (silkie) and Tess (bantam cochin) staying inside..modeling their cute faces! Also shows I have a big feeder in there to deter those dratted starlings.

Oh yeah...Tia's fluffy rump in the back right too!

Note Added: Also, on this one the right side could easily be made into a window, you can see how it's removeable for access...just realized that!

That really helped so much, it gave me the actual opportunity to look at the leggs on it too..this way if I get it, I want to bolt it onto a cart..For moving around the yard..and yes it definitly looks as if I can add some windows, for lite/light..oh I have been out of school way too long, lmao

My advice..hop onto ebay and get one of those pre made coops like the others are sharing..

Haven't decided still playhouse or cconly coop

Ayayyaaa..lol

Have a look at my page to see what we did with a used playhouse. The back opened up to be a window with a shelf. I took out the slats and turned that opening so it was at the bottom. Then we put an old cabinet at that opening for the nest box. For the chicken door, I did the same thing on the side - moved the window to the bottom. It was really easy, just a few screws. I coated the outside with linseed oil, insulated the inside with corrugated plastic (duck blind type) and used that for the floor, too. I like it alot. The rest of the run, we made from stuff we had around here...
