I'm still in favor of re purposing the tree house as a tree coop, however I don't like the idea of the ladder for human access. Unless #1 the chickens can't access the human ladder and #2 there is a rope and pulley system in place to raise and lower food and water. I would not want to climb the latter with a my 5 gallon waterer full. I'd spill a little one night in the dark and slip and fall. Of course alternatively you leave the food and water underneath the tree coop where it would be sheltered from the rain.
I agree with aart that might not be the best coop in the world but I think if your able to think though all the details of food, water, egg retrieval ect it could be a very good coop and certainly an unique one!
