I'm looking for a cookie recipe, easy to make and not many complications. (I'm not a regular baker).
My plan is to make my mother a surprise, breakfast for her birthday.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

These are really good...they taste like the pecan lace cookies they sell at those places in the mall.

Bisquick Pecan Bars

2 cups Bisquick
2-1/4 cups packed brown sugar
4 eggs well beaten
2 cups chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 325°

Combine ingredients and pour into a 9x13” greased pan and bake at 325° for 30 to 35 minutes.

Ones, that are quick to do, and use readily available ingredients, like nuts etc..
It would be perfered not to have chocolate in.

If I can ever get my email to open I have a recipe I keep in my files for some awesome peacan bars.
Been trying to get in there all day.

These don't use bisquik though.

I DID IT!

These are really good and very rich.
I keep this in my email so I can get to it from any pc. Usually much easier though.

Butter Pecan Bars

2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 and 1/3 cup flour
1 and 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 cup pecans, chopped

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour into a
greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan and bake for 20 - 30
minutes at 350 degrees. Allow to cool and cut into
bars.

Seriously they are awesome.

I think I should invest in a BYC cookbook

I love cookie so much.. My favorite cookie, especially great when the snow is falling in big puffy flakes and it's a do-nothing Saturday afternoon in those bleak mid-winter months...
If anyone is familiar with the Dancing Deer Baking Company's ginger-clove cookies, these are very close to them.
