cooking quail

That sounds yummy beerman! We've also brined them, then spatchcocked (someone help me out here; DBF did it) and cooked them on the grill. I think DBF also put a pat of garlic butter on the top (you cook them slow and don't turn them). They were fantastic.

I don't cook much; I just eat

This is the recipe I used for quail, it turned out amazing.

Marinate 3 quail in
1/2 lemon
1 clove garlic, diced
salt
pepper
for several hours, turning and massaging a few times.

Place in a small baking dish, drape with bacon, cover with tin foil, and bake at 400* for 40 minutes.

It was so good my remaining quail seem to have realized their lives are in danger, and are much quieter now.
