I have a hen in isolation on the porch. DH barbequed a beef brisket on the porch tonight (Oh HUSH Ranchy! I ate lots of it and it was wonderful
).
The hen, Doe, was very interested in what DH was doing. She did look a little worried at first, so I reassured her that Dad was cooking a (chicken's) homewrecker, not one of her relatives. Doe relaxed and went back to observing Dad from afar.
I thought it only fitting that Doe get to taste a piece of the same type of critter that destroyed her home. She really seemed to enjoy it.
