Cooking with duck eggs

Wow, I never knew all of this about duck eggs. The only thing someone has ever told me is that they are gross and rubbery. I don't think it was a really reliable sorce.

It sounds like they are just fine. If we end up keeping these ducks we are watching I hope one is a female so I could try an egg.

I liked that link that was givin very informative.

well for me they take a little longer to cook but thats no big deal since eggs cook so fast anyway. i dont think that they get rubbery but the whites are thicker when cooked.

Thanks for the offer. I'm in Portland, Oregon. One of my neighbors is getting a couple of duck eggs from a friend of theirs for us to try. I know I will be getting ducks anyway, after researching chickens and ducks, I feel ducks are the best option (they are also cuter).

Not only they cuter, they are funnier too. Then to top all that off, they are more resistant to disease!

I can't wait to try the eggs from my ducks.
