So, I am assuming what I witnessed this evening was a female initiated mating ritual, but please tell me if I am wrong. either way it was interesting and entertaining to watch.
My hen paced circles around the tom over and over rubbing her wings against him, then she would grab onto his neck and lean into his side, I mean leaning like she was trying to push him over! This went on for about 10-15 minutes!
never saw him mount her, but this was funny after her squawking like he was abusing her yesterday when he was being "amorous" with her..
Has anyone seen this before?
