Cooling day 10? Duck eggs... theory?

Apparently ive heard to let duck eggs cool and spray with mist? is this need or not?

I did lift the lid and mist them with bottled water on occasion. Maybe once a day? It was my first hatch so I probably checked on the eggs about four times a day.

I know some don’t do it and hatch fine
I do that method as I watched my broody duck leave her eggs for an hour in the morning. Go take a bath and come back with a wet belly
My broody got 100% hatch rate and I often get 90-100 hatch rates
I take mine out of the bator for 5-10 mins and spray them
I must from above so I don’t soak them
Day 10 till lockdown although my mom duck was doing this from day 1
It’s really up to you what way works
